well after having a dabble with the 6mtr pole i had which was good fun i spotted a leeda assassin 11mtr for sale on a social media site, i looked up the reviews and all where quite good, it sells for around the 160 pound mark new, he was sellin it as a job lot with a seat box and some other rods, but i was only interested in the pole so i asked if he would sell it separate, he soon msgd me back asking if 20 quid was ok....needless to say i snapped his hand off!! it may not be the best pole and i probs wont ever fish it at 11mtrs but spares are cheap and so are xtra top kits and you can get a butt ext to take it to 12.5, and for a daft 20 quid ive nothing to lose really and he assures me its in excellent condition with no damage, im picking it up later on this afty co he only lives down the rd, so be prepared for lots of questions you pole lads lol

yeh they do mate but lots of lads still use the pole Andy harker doesnt use anything but poles up there mate, he seems to manage ok but ive seen lads struggling to get some of the bigger ones in, was a lad last summer had a carp on for about a hour an half before it snapped him off, probs his own fault like by trying to bully it to much near the end, but i think i wouldve gave up after half a hour lol

You lucky barsteward Lost more than a score pulling Ronny's car out of brafferton pmsl Bargain or what,,, All you need to no about pole fishing is it's not fishing lol it's hook a duck But it certainly has it's advantages over rod and reel,,, I used a pole to dump a load of ground bait upto an island and on it on a commercial the carp was jumping to get on the island and eat the ground bait, I was laying my rig ON the island and bagging up Ask Rushy what I did to him and the lads on the match lol They really have an advantage but there's a lot to learn about it if you want to achieve big success and good catch rates,,, It's ok for a change but don't think I'd use it every day,,,

I dunno what your pocket is like
But seen as you got it cheap I would treat your pole go diawa hydro elastic,,,
Size 6 elastic for roach Size 10 elastic Size 14 is a good mix
16 and 18 and 20 for carp and heavyier hauls

For Hutton mate I would put black hydro in or if your on a tight budget muddy hi viz 10-12 or the next one up 14-16 I use white hydro in mine for the 2nd lake and black in the first I know it's dear but have had two full seasons on mine and it's still going strong so lasts a fair while oh and welcome to the land of pole fishing lol
