I don't know Jim, I think it's more of a nostalgic trip down memory road for him judging by how the conversation went, he fished it as a kid. I did mention the broken scar but he didn't seem very interested, I don't quite believe him when he said he landed a 32lb salmon either!! ..... He was worse than mick for exaggerating lol me thinks the truth gets twisted with the fog of time

32lb salmon would be a grt achievement and worth publishing, but some how doubt it,any amount of 20's in the tees but a 30lber is one hell of a big fish.
barnard castle theres some free water, dnt even need a ticket.

We had a Flood Alert at work this afternoon as follows (in summary)
"WE ARE CURRENTLY EXPECTING HEAVY AND PERSISTENT RAINFALL TO AFFECT THE UPPER TEES AREA OVERNIGHT AND INTO TOMORROW MORNING. RIVER LEVELS ARE FORECAST TO RISE OVERNIGHT IN RESPONSE TO THIS RAINFALL"

No probs Jim, catch up soon no doubt - hopefully no one at work will mistake the boilies in the freezer for meatballs and try and cook them!

Tees will be a nightmare for a while, a lot of water in the hills over the next few days.
