makes you wonder how much these fish thieves are making, specially when there taking fish 10lb plus from waters.certainely shot up in price from 5 yrs ago.roach/rudd were coppers compared to now.simmo's carp are cheaper mind.providing the water isn't to rich and not to high biomas they can grow to 20lb in 5 yrs, hence the reason why a lot of waters stock them for there growth rate.if the waters above have the above it can stunt there growth rapidly, only reaching 8-10lb in 5 yrs.

I've heard with simmo carp because they grow so quick there internal organs can't keep up so they tend to die younger than a normal carp would

never heard that like.generally get to 18-20lb then slow rite down and the full strain species catches up.was surprised to see the whiskers come on so well at raskelf.last yr they were 8-12oz,a blokes had one out 3 and a bitt pounds this yr.some growth that.always find that spring fed water do better.although only a small stream feeds it,me and mick were surprised they stocked ide in there to be honest.
