Top 3 winter 2013/14 most memorable pics

Well spring officially began Thursday (20nd of march), so now the winter is over its time for some winter fish pics..
So let's see your top 3 most memorable fishy pics from the winter season just gone and state a reason why

I'll go first


1, couldn't leave this one out! I just felt good when I eventually got to this peg and seen a pike of about 10lb swimming on the surface.. I was flicking a dead bait out just twitching it in and bang! Then all hell broke loose and she came to the net! 16.13lb.. Stunning fish!!
Did also catch the 10lb'er I seen On the surface!




2, this fish just made my day, only went 8lb but after nearly driving my car into the lake and being rescued by col it just put a smile on my face after sat being depressed all day lol.. Unusual but awesome patterns on it




3, the barbel was my first winter one, it was the only decent fish of the day, a new pb and let's face it she's a perla!!

cant add much to this post cos whilst you lot was out fishing I was recovering lol.only fished 3 times prob 8 all season.had a gd day for the greyling though.

then a day at hutton with mick with a few decent carp and ide on a seriousely cold and windy day.

o and a few hours on the leven trying for chub,but got these instead.appologise for the lack ov pics,best I can do lol.

Some good fish there mate and deffo can't knock a winter carp, still haven't had a carp this year yet, suppose u have to try fish for them first lol

we both thought we were on for a blank mate until mick hit them bream.then he's swim went dead and I managed a few carp an ide was an awfull day.we was batterd to hell and packed up just in time.better season hopefully this year for me.

Sure it will be mate.. Be good to get out on bank with u for a proper session, last time was about August when you nicked a rod off mick and fished Dinny with me, col and Michael for a few hours

It's been a poor winter really for me, I'm not flexible at all when it comes to fishing sessions, it's Sunday or bust. And it seemed that every Sunday, the river was ruined.

1. A memorable pike, caught at Xmas holidays in between river floods - gale force winds and torrential rain but it was worth it. Don't really need to add anything - the picture says it all.







2. A session trotting the upper river swale for grayling in freezing conditions. Nothing big, but good fun









3. A late season chub, nothing special, but in fighting fit condition.
