A long time ago I spent every weekend on The Tees,Wear, and Swale. Then it started to rain and now I spend my days at work looking out of the window daydreaming of the olden days when I got up in the dark, drove to river and caught chub in beautiful surroundings. Oh how I loved my fishing but now it's all a distant memory and I'm left wondering if things will ever get back to normal or will it just be something I tell the grandkids about, just like steam trains. This morning I decided to have a trip down memory lane and go for a walk by The Tees if only I could remember the way there,it's been so long. Travelling along the flooded backroads through Neasham I felt a tinge of excitement as I approached the river, yes it was still there just as I always remembered it. I jumped out of the car and took a deep breath of fresh air, tears in my eyes, reunited with a long lost love. I looked over the fence and there she was waiting for me,beckoning me down to the bankside,a raging torrent of brown, filthy water. We spent an hour together, reliving old memories and getting to know each other again,it was like we'd never been apart such was our love for each other and we promised to meet up again soon. You don't know how much you love something until it's gone. Sorry lads, got a bad case of cabin fever Some people are still enjoying themselves.

It was nicknamed "Tyson Hill" because it knocks the life out of anyone who takes it on. I know how you fell Graeme, I've not been fishing since Xmas due to the poor conditions. Sent from my GT-S5830i using proboards
