tough outing lads eh,thought you might struggle today.rivers should be coming into there own if we don't have any more rain and these frosts stay with us to stabilize things a bitt.coming into my type of territory then, chub or bust for me then and the swale.could be tempted to do a bag ov grayling on the stick though.someone who dales knows in the tackle shop said its a bumper year for them on the tees,a lot of small fish.worth targeting if the conditions are favourable.and only one method to do it,in the water with em on the sticky.

There's a recent year class of grayling, last years by the size of them, that did exceptionally well in breeding. Been getting quite a few....good for the future!

there's deffinately a higher population in the middle reaches this year.certainely wasn't expecting 17 of them and the amounts of bites that were missed was unreal.ide usually tackle further upstream for them say above the scar and beyond but certainely that day anyone fishing directely for them on suitable tackle would have been in there element.deffo a gd thing because they are a stunning fish and grt sport on light gear, specially a free flowing pin and a 14ft rod, splendid sport.knowing they are along there now in numbers think its worth me fishing for them in the rite way,4 pints ov maggs ere to use up.
