I've had some proper chunks from resi that didn't get weighed, gone have to get set of scales, only weigh fish when someone has a set.

Big bin lids hate hooking them on the pole it's like dragging a bag through the water! Can't beat a good old scrap on with the laggy flying out

The bream and skimmers at the resi fight well mate, I've been using 9H and they've been putting up a good scrap even on that, the smaller skimmers around the 1_1.5lb mark seem to scrap more than the proper bream.

I either use D4 or 9H for skimmers and bream on a puller, can have some proper fun with em on D4 down the resi in summer. I've had carp to 15lb on the pole down there but that was years ago when I first started fishing it, when I think back now I can tell I was just starting out, maver dual core 12_20, double maggot up in the water for roach, 15lb carp, madness.

middy hi viz 4-6 for my roach hi viz again 12-14 for hauling carp out this is tightened up though my favourite white hydro for anything that swims love this elastic and the black hydro for when the dolphins arrive lol used to fish 10s and 12s at hutton but the carp just go ballistic and charge off the hydro stretches a fair bit to give you chance of landing them but if I get a yank and bank am going to put red hydro in and go water skiing lmao

Huttons the place for big fish in the summer but if you want 50_60lb bags of skimmers then the resi is the place, hoping to do a ton down there this summer, now the skimmers are getting bigger it can and will be done, you've got to be confident haven't ya.

Confidence is the key and the way forward! If you go with a negative attitude then there's no point in going my eyes Don't know either venue so I'm looking forward to giving both them off a go this year

I hear lads winging all the time that they haven't had a bite, only been finishing half an hour but they're giving up, you've got to be confident that floats going under or that tips going round ORT like you say, might swell pack in coz you probz will blank thinking like that.
