Hi Never to old to get back into fishing, if not a member join a local club. Plenty of water on the Tees etc. If you enjoy commercial fishing don't join any club just enjoy your pay as you go. Plenty of anglers on here to offer advice if needed.

Thanks for replying Kev, I joined HartlepoolAngling near the end of last year. They have 2 lakes, 1 is the Tilery Lake in Wingate and it’s very very good. On Thursday I had my biggest fish since coming back and it was an 8lb 6oz carp caught on cage feeder and 2 red maggots. The other lake is called Kenny’s Pond in Station Town, I haven’t fished it yet. They also have quite a few stretches on the Tees. I am also going to join Hetton Angling at the end of March when they open up for new members and they have two good lakes. Haven’t managed to fish the rivers yet but will be soon

Ah right at least you've found your feet re clubs, I'm in Stockton and have been for over 35rs,I'm also in Darlington but I don't fish their waters as much as I should, although I intend to get back into fly fishing this closed season and Darlington have some fantastic Tees trout waters I'm going to try.
