Well after a dynamite first three and half months of season catching 31 barbel and nearly as many chub the change in jobs and long hours has resulted in a bad back strain and no fishing since first week in September .
Don’t see me getting out much moving forward but gonna keep popping on here , what a weird year 2020 will go down as one to wipe off the memory
I hope you all have a good end to 2020 despite this bloody virus and for those still getting out tight lines
My minds already on 2021 and the hope that we get a vaccine and everything gets back to some normality
Stay safe everyone

That was a great start to the year Andy. Sorry to hear about your back. I agree with you about 2020 and that this year has been horrendous... rather forget it. I’m currently in quarantine in Brazil instead of on the banks of the Tees or Swale. I won’t be back again until the first week of December, when I’ll start my piking campaign and try for a few big chub!
Hopefully you’ll be back on the river soon and I can have another read about you adventures.

That was it Kev, 4-weeks over in a flash. I don’t normally fish the rivers when they are high, so I didn’t get out as much as I’d hoped. Good luck with the Tees 5 pounder.

Certainly has been a shite year not been out as much as I'd like but still had a few barbel and chub and a few blanks along the way.this year has definitely been a bit of a wash out but hopfully next year will be better.ive give up chasing records now just going to enjoy the fishing next year now after watching all the mortimer and whitehouse seasons and next years season 4. ,plus going to give the fly fishing ago and plenty of wadeing using touch ledgering rather then just sat on the bank waiting it out a bit of old school keeping active.hope tour back gets sorted out andy.

Strange one for me - had a really good start to the season, plenty of perch on the lures and managed a couple of barbel off the Swale.. went a bit quiet with high rivers and then not been out for a while. Started new job at work - on days - used to four days off on shifts but now like most only off weekends, which means chores.., “what chores?” “I’ll have a pint of lager if you’re getting them in”...Just had new kitchen in with all associated meltdown before, during and after. Getting there now and itching to get some chubbing done. Hopefully not too long before I’m out. Hopefully weekend after next .

I feel your pain,Robin. It's a nuisance when normal life interferes with fishing .

I'm keeping an eye on the riverapp but not holding out much hope unfortunately. Weather looks like improving early next week-when I'm at work .
