As a resident of Co.Durham it's worrying to see that we've been subjected to extra rules in the fight against the virus. Fishing isn't on the list of grassroots sports that have been cancelled but if things don't improve I fear the worst over the winter months. Never mind though, the pubs are open and we can trust drunks to behave themselves more than anglers.

Another full lockdown wouldn't surprise me the way things are going. As it is it means I can't have the grandkids round but I can still go fishing at the moment although most local sport is now cancelled.

Winters comming dont need the tackle shop for bait. Sorry but no matter what the rules l will be out on the river bank. Next time l see another angler will be a first in months. Fishing the Tees is the perfect isolation situation.

I don’t think it will be a full lockdown moving forward. The economic impact is too great. Im sure a more targeted approach will be done, and would be amazed if outdoor pursuits such as fishing form part of this.
