After Boris Johnson announced unlimited exercise tonight the Angling Trust have confirmed that fishing can restart on Wednesday subject to the distancing rules. Woodlands and Sessay have already stated they will be open but matches won't be allowed just yet. Great news provided everyone is sensible and angling shows it can behave itself.

Thatโs fantastic news Graeme. Itโs given me a much needed lift and something to look forward to for when I get back home ๐๐ผ
Good luck with your angling, tight lines and above all else STAY SAFE.

like a lot of people l want to go fishing but dreading arriving at a venue to find it choked with other anglers. Think my return if allowed will be very cautious. Quite content now to wait until 16th June when l can go on the river. Walk a few 100 yds and be well away from anyone else.

I don't tend to fish such places much anyway, but I'll be avoiding anywhere busy for the foreseeable future. I'll also be travelling as little as possible. Fortunately, that leaves me with my syndicate lake to go at. It's a couple of miles away and, though probably busier than normal, social distancing should be a doddle.

I wanna go somewhere but not sure as to where , club ponds likely be busy commercials heaving , and don't wanna add to what might happen in terms of too many people turning up

A pal of mine is up at Woodlands today he said it's busy.
I'm planning on getting out on Saturday and Sunday. Going to try The Oaks at Sessay on Sunday I think. Not to sure about where to go Saturday yet.
Absolutely can't wait to get back out there.

Looks like all fisheries have introduced strict rules regarding pegs and distancing which will hopefully protect all of the sensible anglers amongst us. Keeps us all safe and back onto the banks although there are one or two fisheries that have decided not to reopen just yet. We just have to hope this is the start of our lives getting back to normal, too early to say yet though .
