Pmsl Steve he's like creeping jesus , and also I never get how he manages to catch a lot of his barble in dark ,baring in mind his camera makes it seem lighter yet he shoos everyone else off , last year left straight after sun set realised I'd left a reel got back there about 1045 pm and you could smell his cigar smoke and heard him coughing ,one rule for one eh

toms alrite, yes he does break a few rules but havnt we all done it,i for one have lol...…. he dosnt bother asking to see my licence now, maybe first time on bank wen he see's me and thats it,i just tell him to sod off,he grins and thats that, but he aint a bad old stick.
as for asenby syndicate they are as secretive as a politician, certainely aint worth the money.if you want a bargain and dnt mind travelling join birmingham angling association.
as for the sheephills it aint the place it used to be,might aswell just join bradford ac and fish opposite bank, only downfall is no night fishing.

around the 10 o clock mark in summer months, usually the stretches I fish the water comes alive around 9.30.fish start to roll, loads ov line bites and sitting on your hands until that 3ft pull round.sometimes it never happens, loads ov activity but never comes to anything.frustrating as hell lol.but still prefer a meter or so in and choccy brown tobe fair.catch any time then day or night.

You way more experienced than me Basha but I'm learning especially last two years , I rekon barbell are bit of a myth to some who may think they are very hard to catch , where in reality they are quite easy to catch
What's difficult is finding the bugars ,times , weather, reading the river and so on , once you actually find them and fish for them they no bother
I think the magic is having to put the work in , walking ,traveling light , key times often the most beautiful times of day ,it's all that that's got me hooked.
