Just heard that one of my favourite summer venues has been closed until further notice due to the virus. The pond's within a factory plant along with a golf course and they've decided to limit access to anyone not considered vital to the company so that's us out for the forseeable future. Also means nobody there to keep an eye on the place and seeing as we've had otter problems previously and the occasional idiots wandering about it's certainly a worrying time. One of my other options is Aycliffe pond which is accessed down a council track around the golf course and my concern is that the course will be closed within the next few weeks as the country faces lock down and we are stopped from using the track even though we have a right of access. Don't know how commercials will be affected but I would have thought that large groups of anglers fishing Woodlands or the Oaks may find that their matches are cancelled or the fisheries closed to everyone which will be catastrophic for both the commercials and the tackle shops just at the time of year when their business starts to pick up. I know it's only fishing and there are far more important virus issues to be concerned about but these are worrying times for all of us.

Totally agree, being self employed myself, it's already affecting my jobs, now getting people postponing jobs for the foreseeable future, I'm a decorater and the majority of work I do is for the older people who are now unable to do it themselves, and obviously they are now being very cautious and just don't want unnecessary contact with people, even getting young couples with kids cancelling or putting it on the back burner till things have past, hopefully not to long as anyone who's self employed knows if you don't work you don't get paid, luckily for me the wife earns a reasonable wage and she can work from home if needed, as this has been mentioned by her company who are considering implementing this, it'll be a struggle for us, but my thoughts go out to those self employed that don't have family with incomes 😕😕😕

Really worrying time unfortunately. I’ve been in isolation since Tuesday having had a cough which developed into chest pain, fatigue, head aches and a complete loss of smell or taste. Getting back to normal now, but the lack of smell or taste remains.
My wife’s been sent home and her work has been shut from Friday, and I can see clients cancelling jobs left right and centre at my work.
One thing we need to remember, we are all in this predicament together, and we need to help each other at difficult times

deffinately worrying times.
myself and our lass have isolated ourselves, not for just my health issues but more so my son Jordan who is very high risk.
I wnt even get started on the latest government moves and the numpties acting as if there was no virus to contend with.
my thoughts is total lockdown now and it should have been in place days ago.
the fishing side ov things isn't really a concern,n ot been out for a while so another few months wnt make a difference, plenty to keep myself busy at home.
hope all goes well jimmy, take care fella.
