Now that rivers are settling out on Sunday and Tuesday, piking, one from the Swale and Two on the Tees. Both days not a sign of another angler and no signs on the bank. Is anyone fishing the rivers

I was on the Swale yesterday. Gorgeous day to be out and for once the river level was spot on. I had my first Swale pike - a very hard fighting muscular 12 pounder and a jack - so well pleased. I did see another lad but considering the conditions and weather I thought it would have been busier.

Was piking last Saturday on the Tees but blanked. Met a couple of guys looking at the river since joining a local club who hadn't fished the rivers for years!

Lovely pike that, Robin. Looks like a few have come out of the Tees too from what's been reported on here.I wonder which river's the better bet?

As said where is everyone. Truth is there just seems to be so few anglers prepared to make the effort to dish our rivers. Winter or summer. Me trapped nerve right shoulder. Pain level at times excruciating then it subsides to a low throb. So until it goes no fishing for me.
