Great to see people posting lately. Good luck for the big winter specimens ππ»
Ive been through a period where I more or less lost interest in fishing. Had too much going on in my life with work, kids and the Mrs and fishing has been on the back burner. I ended up making excuses to not go fishing whenever I did have the chance.
Anyway Iβve started dreaming of specimen fish again, really keen to get some and have a few targets in mind again. Even been out twice this week after chub, and although blanked, just thinking about the next trip.
Looking forward to othersβ captures ππ»

Think I've been exactly the same mate, I'm sure we all go through it at some point, I've been going out for a few hours now and then when conditions have been ok, which hasn't been much lately, but I'm starting to get the passion back, I'll be out again today for another morning till midday session before this rain knackers the river up again !! Good to see you dropping a post again mate πππ

Can see where you are Jim. Work, family getting out fishing is just more disruption you don't need. All l can say is for me fishing has helped me stay sane. Married at 20 and a baby, then working shifts, then months away overseas. Then working in the north sea. I managed to maintain the enthusiasm to keep fishing and thus stop myself from going off the rails. Others might think a man wanting to go fishing is selfish. No its important and helps keep you knowing were you are.

A short hour long stint on the tees tonight. First peg was one Iβd not fished for a year and flow had completely changed, wasnβt feeling it and upped and moved on after ten mins. Second one was a new peg to me but looked good with a tree on the inside. Lamprey was soon taken confidently...really nice to have that feeling of hitting a fish again. Nowt special but Iβm back in the hunt for fish ππ»
