Looking at some old info on line, and these seem places that are or used to be day tickets on Wharfe.
Has anyone any current knowledge of day tickets, areas, parking and so on, really like look of Wharfe.
Cheers

Andy, In my experience, unless it's just for a change of scenery, if you are going to go to the trouble and expense of driving further than the Swale, you may as well go the whole hog and drive to the Trent. I don't believe that any of the Yorkshire rivers have significantly better fishing than the Swale. However, last I heard, just below the bridge in Taddy was day ticket. IIRC it's associated with the Britannia Inn. Hopefully someone will have up to date information, mine could be well out of date. Yorkshirefishing.net could be worth be worth a look. I'm sure some of the members will be up to date on what's what. linklink

Hi Andy, I’ve fished it 3 times this season mate at Boston spa/newton kyme which is £4 day ticket, I had 11 fish including seven one short morning session, I haven’t been back as I was after a lump my biggest out of the 10 was 8.8 still a good fish! I will go back when I’m struggling elsewhere for a bend in my rod! Good when it’s low and clear I managed to stalk a couple something I won’t forget in a hurry! If you want any info give me a shout mate, always willing to help a fellow angler out if possible!

Having spent most of the summer and autumn in the wharfe I can definitely say it's much more proliffic than the Swale ,largley due to being able to see from higher banks into the clean water , you get regular glimpses of fish which boosts your confidence and focus , there also seems to be a better head of bsrbel of all sizes .
However the Swale fish are generally to me so far much fitter ,stronger , and in better condition ,I haven't a clue why but I will be targeting both rivers once again past June , I much prefer our rivers to the Trent especially ,catching a monster means nowt to me catching a few in beutifull surroundings closer to home will always win for me

the wharfe andy went through a funny spell a few seasons ago but has come into its own again.it deffinately holds a lot more fish and you have a better chance ov a double although there are a lot more fish in the 4/7lb bracket.
ive found on there that the way to go is feeder tactics with hemp and caster and dnt be afraid to pile it in,it'll bring you more fish......boston.taddy still tickets.ive had larger fish from taddy on the tidal.but less of them.i never take my big rods, always a heavey feeder rod and keep casting every 5 mins or so.
as said mentioned earlier in the post, still rather do that extra hour mind and hit the trent, specially later season.
