Apparently a otter has been spotted in Albert park by 6 different anglers, really bad news for the lake if it is a otter even more so considering how shallow it is

Surprised Hemlington lake has thus far escaped a visit from our four legged fish killer.

Might actually be a weird blessing mick, those carp have crap life, I worked near Albert Park, full of rubbish, kids caught throwing big stones at carp on surface, and even rumours of people shooting at them with air rifles, here's hoping they maybe take them out and put them somewhere better

dosnt take an otter to ruin albert park.they did that when they took the islands out drained it yrs back.
they havnt a clue how to organise/customise/or run a fishery.
I'm in there daily as yet never spotted an otter, but wouldn't surprise me in the least.

Well said basha, personally I think fishing in parks is a historic thing now anyways.
Parks just get full of dick heads, and there is no interest from younger generations in angling like there was when we were younger, it's sad and it may not happen in our life time, but fishing will likely end up match type commercial venues only.
My point being otters as annoying as they are only impact on the now, fishing facing bigger problems than predators in future.
