Unlucky Steve but at least your getting out and trying mate and to be fair it's still early in the season sometimes takes time for the fish to switch on to anglers baits

to be fair zak fishing is tough at the mo.any consolation I only had one chub from pickhill it was hard out there.
keep plucking away.fish are still spawning on some stretches.we need a gd flush through aswell wash all the sediment through and get the fish into a feeding mood.the rivers are low at the moment never makes for exceptional fishing.also noticed theres a lot of algae about on the rivers, shows just how slow the flow is,and it snots your line up to hell.a good flush through is what I'm waiting for then hopefully the catch returns will be up a wee bitt.
gd effort mate all same, its not the easiest section to fish were you were.fish are either there or they arnt.its upper reaches if they have finished spawning they will move down stream into the pools around redhouse and below at easby, worth a punt along there.do a little prebaiting but dnt over do it.use a bait dropper and keep things tight, maybe 5-6 swims.do this daily if you can so they get in to a feeding rythem.i know its hard with work/family etc,but on thoughs very lightly fished waters it can pay off big style.dnt expect the fish to be in abundance this far up mate because they arnt.its more trout and grayling water and the fish are only ever up that far to spawn.redhouse we caught them yrs ago throughout the season but there was more blanks than returns.catterick behind the complex has some gd fish and residents but again you have to fish along side the trout.the fishing really starts to pick up and constant when you hit the sections around grt Langton.fishing behind broken brae can be hectic sometimes with chub and odd barbell.dnt just plonk in though do a few recci's before hand you can spot them easy enough along there.should be around this time that you will see them aswell.good set off polaroids needed.

I only show what I want you too see.you dnt see the baits I leave in me bag pmsl. one of them isn't broccoli, when did you start using that.no wonder you never have bait on when you reel in.try pva bagging it might last longer. and now ive heard your lass saying she dosnt stop you going fishing anytime you got no excuse not to come. and I believe your lass over a dingle. and your just cheesed of cos me n mozz was catching bules.told you to sit on my chair rod takes off tasker strikes and he catches the only chub in the river. your good with the sheep though on route to river, must be the dingle thing.
