When loading line onto a fishing reel, place the new spool of line into a container of water,a small bucket or sink will do attach new line to reel either by a loop or tie onto backing line. whip a few loops of line around the knot before reeling on new line. The water in the container will clean the line as well as loading the reel spool correctly without twisting.

ive never done that but ill give it a go mate, ill add to the thread by saying its important to fill your spools right to the lip, castings much easier and you can get the distance you want with out too much effort.
