when fishing for roach on deep venue's a cracking way of fishing for these is the drop back method which intales casting to your desired swim and immediately clicking your bale arm across, putting the rod strait onto the rest and let your tipp compress under the weight of your feeder sinking.fish a long hooklink upto 4-5ft for this method.
bites are indicated with a drop back on the tipp and should be hit at this point, works really well on water 15ft and over.its also a cracking method for chub on stillwaters.can be used with both maggot and groundbait feeders.
if u find your getting bites around half depth and wish to draw the fish higher, use the sink and draw method.let the feeder fall around 4ft,jerk the rod up emptying the contents of feeder, place the rod on the rest and repeat above.
