I know there's nothing we can do about it,but you have also got to be carefull were you get it from off ebay.make sure its from a renowned source,i.e tackle shop.a lot of of what you buy has been on the shelves a grt lengh of time and is probabely well past its sell buy date also.the problem starts when situations dnt favour a very high rod angle, causing more line to be below the surface with wind and bat problems,so we are forced to fish our rods lower which makes the situ much more liable to happen.
hope you get sorted mate, but I wnt be going back to sensor after using this shimano gear,a much more subtle line once uve had a few chucks.certainely wnt put me off using sensor mind.as you say its grt in less rough ground but for general fishing that suit, its still one of my favs for all round feeder/lead work.

You had any probs with it coiling Mark ?? its getting lots of bad reviews because of coiling even when its been stretched a few times people saying its a nightmare on the reel as well as keeps "jumping off" due to it suffering from coiling so badly

X-line is worth a look mate, can be springy at first if u get 15lb+ but gets better every time u use it... If you get fluro then buy a spin doctor to remove the line twist, only needs doing every few sessions X-line won't be coming off my spare spools for sure

Might be daft suggestion. Maxima is renowned for being reliable, and I've always rated it. Saw a spool in 12lb today and nearly bought it - worth a thought?

Sussed it Mark, thing is ......shimano are spooling there spools weird for some reason, you have to get the spooling on from the main bulk spool the right way, which can change for some mad reason?? those who have spooled normal suffer coiling those that have done a few yards and realised its coming off wrong and swapped are ok....if that makes any sense lol

I do mate we used to get it with red ice when sea fishing.a lot of the time we would have to re-spool our egg beaters and multiplyers.had no hassles at all with mine since I used it bud.

coiling is what I,m getting? (shimano aero) spooled up & had 30 or so long practice casts with light lead at hemo, before going to the river, sprung off the reel a few times in the last couple of sessions??

I find, when your loading line onto the reel, using a rod, and it's starts to coil a little as it's filling, turn the spool of line the other way round. All will be resolved

Shane, mine started to coil so as Jim said I turned it round and spot on now, doesn't jump off at all
