The club has a work party planned for tomorrow, 27th April, on the old Ferryhill stretch. The plan is to open up some pegs and try and get on top of the hogweed. The more the merrier starting at 9:30, bring some tools and a mug.

I was going to go fishing but in two minds now. Problem is I haven't been fishing for blooming ages

Unfortunately I didn't attend. I have so little time on the bank these days, and always looking for more. I'd only be able to give a few hours effort as well, rather than a whole day. Can't help feeling a tad guilty for not turning up. Hopefully all those pegs I fish when the rivers open will help keep them free of vegetation

I know what you mean about limited time Jim but it is generally only a morning session. Some of the guys are going back to spray the hogweed tomorrow as it was too wet today. Also got some good pointers for pegs once the season opens, which is a bonus. Anyway the next one is up at Winston on June 1st.
