Well extra day off school for Matthew , so we decided to go to club water and start the bankside maintenance before June 16th, Matthew fully enjoyed it and is looking forward to the next 5 sets to maintain. Beats the PlayStation he says any day. Before After In between

Cheers Steve.
Thankfully both Matthew and his young brother Ollie enjoy the fresh air and Bank work, both are members of the club so hopefully it's teaching them whats required in years to come and that decent river access won't happen on its own.

The work you do on that stretch is fantastic Kev, credit to you.
DO you know if there are any plans to remove the fallen tree from pegs 6 or 7 area?

Thanks very much, I think we are actually back there this Sunday, Matthew asked me yesterday if we could go and start the next section.
I enjoy the work, love the river, have an affection for my local club and hopefully try to provide decent access to swims for shall I say us older generation.
As for the tree, yes I was going to contact our club treasurer re possibly putting an email out to club members to see if anyone could lend a hand.
The problem is that we really need a decent chainsaw to remove and cut up the trunks. This I understand has the potential to cause a problem with RA and H&S issues for the club.
I presume though if there where a few of us to share the burden we could possibly remove the trunks blocking access by sawing them manually,
