Now all in the know of bishy mill , any ideas or knowledge about how the stocking of chub and ide did few years back ,have they been munched by cormorants or did they do ok , looking at somewhere I can nip too where can just chill in closed season on rivers , somewhere peaceful , with few decent fish now and then
Know few year back I actually got pestered to packing up all time cause of bits roach n Rudd , but my mind set changed I wouldn't mind now just go with light pole set up .
Know there few nice fish in , but likely need to warm up for tench , and certainly don't want to catch one of the barbel in there if I did I'd wanna rush it down to tees and set it free lol .
But have any of chub made it to be couple pound or so , my memories were really nice lake but never gave it much opportunity

Not fished it for years mate, in fact think you've fished it more recently than me, from all accounts Westgate is struggling still, last time I went for a look all the trees had been cut down and looked a completely different place, very baron, as for bishy and getting tortured off bits I used to leave the maggots at home and fish sweetcorn this seemed to sort out the better stamp of silvers, but like I say it's been years so really no idea how its fishing these days, might be worth going to Moulton or green lane ? If I remember you've fished them both and seemed to like them? Anyhow good luck where ever you end up mate 👍😉

Just walked round bishy mill 6 anglers all clearly know what they doing all been there about 5 hours and two skimmers between them , I also hear Westgate isn't worth fishing anymore hardly ant fish left alive Inc tench , don't know about 2nd fact unless they netted it or summat was never proliffic anyway .
But bishy mill kind of annoys me cause it's perfect little lake , car park , pegs everything spot on yet five competent anglers have had two skimmers in 5 hrs , not sure why club bothers with it but if numerous angkers pay a tenner every year why not .
I may be wrong and I know what's in there will pick up in warmer weather but unless they gonna have it where you can regularly get ya string pulled I don't see the point , you might as well relax on the sea front or in a park lot less hastle

been a long time since I fished bishy mill, reckon you got to go back4/5yrs or so,fished it with mick.as mick mentioned we used corn instead ov gentils.got some canny roach out and rudd but that was about it.now if you go back 6/7yrs back it was a tench and big bream or skimmer a throw, proper rod benders.spoke to a few lads who have fished it and moved on to pastures new.guessing theres still plenty in there but you get overwhelmed by small stuff......if uve joined Bradford number 1 andy, get on raskelf and get yourself a sack ov f1's they'll keep you busy.some good bream been caught ov late and odd chub.plenty ov silvers too keep you busy.tench n crucians will show once the frosts have disapeard.fish down the track with top 2/3 for the tench n crucians.any further out youll get f1's.some spanking ide, fish shallow with caster preferd over maggs...pegs 12/13/15 if it warms up....pegs 33 to 37 if frost continue.

Yeah it's a shame if love to know what Adtac does with the money? I've said this before it's a real concern that they is no accountability for the money, I would love to see a full break down of it's finances ?? Only amalgamation I know that it's members haven't a clue where their money is going or what if anything it's being used for, for all we know something dodgy could be going on !!!

Agree with all the comments. Fished Westgate a few times last year for 1 bream. Gave up. Better options out there as mentioned.
Yeah it's weird that there is no information anywhere about the association and its spending / actions.

That tenner or 12 quid isn't just for the ponds though Andy it's also for the miles and miles of some cracking river stretches so in reality for a pound a month just getting access to all that river is well worth it surely lol 👍👍😉

I'm not sure mate, road is only a country road and can't remember if you could park at side of road or not, I'm sure if you turn up you could ask someone to let you in just show your book they should be fine, it is a cracking fishery like when me and bash fished it think I had about 30lb of f1s bream and tench but bash had well over 50lb and we didn't even do a full day I don't think 👍👍😉
