Hi, I’m Luke from Stockton.
Just a quick introduction I’m a course angler, and picked up my gear again for the first time in almost 12 years last summer.
I was fishing both the Free and club stretch on the tees down Bowesfield way and silvers/skimmers and small break we’re fishing brilliantly this summer.
I’m looking to get back out more and am itching to wet a line!
Any tips on venues local to Stockton that are worth a day trip would be brilliant.
I look forward to benefiting and sharing tips going forward.
Cheers

Hi Basha, how are the seals affecting the tees at present, particularly the pike population?

I think it would be class if there was a pike taking the seals

the pike fishing is still fine as im aware from the lads I know who target them.its the rest of the species that's in decline the silver and the bream.seals have pushed a lot of the fish way upstream were you wouldn't expect them to be come winter months.the lower sections from Stockton through to worsel are the worst effected area's as the seals are as far up as dinsdale on occasions.i havnt done a great deal of fishing ov late but im sure some of the other lads who are out regular will vouch for it as the seal population increases.

Not interested in bream n silvers but some lads I know still get plenty but not as many decent ones .
Two year since I fished tees , but the last year I had ,had good chub and perch a plenty , and hooked one barbel that swam into submerged nettles and bushes that had earlier been above water , I love the tees , just wish it was more of a banker for barbel which I think it never will be again , I missed out on when they used to come out regularly years back ,would of loved that , but they still few there if ya lucky
Anyway luke great forum and your fishing will be great with advice on here
