Only just found this Forum. Live in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire but spend plenty of time on the North Yorkshire rivers. Probably fish rivers 90% of my time when I get out fishing.
Thanks for having us.
Steve.

Thanks. Currently at Kepier on a training course. The river Wear looks well. Fished it last time I was here on the free-stretch and had 3 chub to 5.03.
No barbel though.
This was 8yrs a go.
Might try again tonight or head to the Swale.
Steve.

I was stood on the bridge by the Radison Blu last night around 10pm and a couple of decent fished rolled. Presuming sea troot.

They will be and plenty of them after a bit of fresh comes downstream, we used to park just behind the Radison when we worked on the Mcalpine site in Durham a little way upstream by the bridge If you want to see how many go upriver and how big they are, go and stand near the fish pass and watch, most of the fish are fresh run trout and big big fish, lots of doubles and some only around the pound mark, most avoid the fish pass and leap over to the left of the pass as you look up river

Hi, I'm hoping to take my grandsons fishing for the first time and was wondering if we could fish the Bricky at Hartburn, how much is it to fish there and how do I pay? Thanks Tony

You can fish it and as far as I'm aware its free, plenty of free fishing on the Tees so depending on where you are two good spots for free are Preston Park or Yarm behind Safeway, plenty of fish about in both places and plenty of bites to keep the kids interested
