There are two fishing lakes at Cleasby. One is a "syndicate" operated by the landowner, the other is a DAC water. I hear snippets about the former and very little about the latter. As I don't know anyone that admits to being a DAC member, that's probably not surprising.
However, on other threads, I've seen you saying that some negative comments are putting you off certain waters. In my experience, there's not a water in existence that you'll get universally positive comments on. Sometimes these negatives will be justified, often they are not. Two different people can have quite different hopes and expectations, which is fair enough, but the amount of total bollocks I hear about the syndicate I'm a member of makes me doubt an awful lot of the stuff I hear about so many waters.
If at all possible, go to see these waters, try not to give to much credence to opinions which may be coming from people that have never fished them, or have an axe to grind. There's also a chance that they just aren't particularly good anglers! Nothing ruins a water's reputation more quickly than having a bunch of poor anglers fishing it.

Most syndicates are relatively heavy going and/or cost a bit more than £150. I don't know the ins and outs of the pricing of every local syndicate, but I'd expect £250 as a minimum benchmark for the ones I do know a bit about. These prices are likely to increase the further south you travel, or the bigger the fish in them are. I can't think of any clubs that have carp lakes I'd particularly want to fish, or are worth recommendation (others might disagree). Maybe the likes of Leeds and Bradford, but I know very little about their waters. The usual suspects for members only or ticket fishing would be one of the following (in order of distance). www.sacarp.com/ (Yarm) www.carpvale.com/Doubles.php (Malton) www.welhamlake.co.uk/ (Malton) www.poolbridge.co.uk/q-lake/ (York) www.ericswillows.com/ (Leeds) www.ladywoodlakes.co.uk/ (Dewsbury) The problem with this kind of thing is that it can soon get more expensive than even the priciest syndicates.

I completely agree with Sam, I honestly think you'll find it extremely difficult to find any water that meets your needs at that price, most carp lads I know are travelling south to Peterborough and beyond for their syndicate waters and paying 500 plus a year, I'm not saying it's impossible just almost lol
