Just found these from hybrid tackle, anyone tried them?. Getting rave reviews, I'm gonna try them for the barbel come June but prefer 10s/12s and could only find 6s/8s. Spoke with a lad on fb and he's getting me my preferred size in curv, ptfe coated as I don't like shiny hooks.

Not tried those or even heard of them but if you get a chance to grab hold of any Drennan Starpoint hooks, get them, I think they're the best hooks you can get for barbell fishing, super super sharp with a curved radius to the outside of the bend and a slight curve of the shank, gives you confident hook-ups when you've got a hair rig on and with big baits and big bunch's of worms means you get the hook to bite rather than pull out

Just had a quick dig for some images of those armo hooks (not many about) I reckon I'll stick to the starpoints as they look like a better hook to me especially for barbelling

I got 6's and 10's in from different suppliers but haven't been able to get any 8's, could have got the sizes I wanted in barbless but I won't use them, prefer a barb version especially for barbell
Going to keep looking for the 8's as they make a real good size for big lobs

Had a good bit of fortune bri. Bought a few different sizes off eBay, some 6's, 4's and 10's. The 6's arrived and they are quite a small hook for their size (if that makes sense) so the 4's are ideal as well.
However just had a phone call from the guy who sold the size 10 barbed on eBay, turns out he's ran out of 10's and only has 8's. They are on route to me now.
Have a look on eBay for them mate, you'll see the ones I mean

I bought some armo hawk spn micro barbed in size 8 curved. Tried them the other night with a hair rigged piece of meat and had a barbel no probs. Nice hooks. Prefer smaller when using pellets though.
