Looks like it is on the rise again. Just starting to come over the island at Piercebridge and has started to come up quickly at the Dovecot station. Swale looking decent today and a mate of mine had a few barbel off there yesterday, best was 12lb 8oz Jim posted this new site for river level's Swale river levels

Hiya Geoff, what species are you targeting ?? if its chub just a simple runnin lead or feeder with licky in it and either bread pellet or if you have any cheese paste on the hook, if the rivers up and pushing through try and find the slack water on your inside line, a eddy or raft of debris over hanging bushes and trees are ideal, if the waters coloured a big smelly bait is best it will put some scent into the water for the fish to home in on, if your going for silvers a small maggot feeder with mags or worm on the hook will get you most fish with the chance of a chub, or fish the stick shirt button but i reckon it wont be ideal for the stick really, im sure there will be more advice from others on its way, sometimes its just a suck it and see approach on the day

cant add anymore really to what mick has said.the fish at the moment are all over the place with rivers in and out of tune.try to move around don't sitt in one swim for more than an hour or so.ring the changes it pays off.if you start on a short tale and things are quiet up your lengh of tail.have a cast around with a bomb first, see if there is anything about.what you don't want to be doing is spooking the fish before you start.gradually build your swim with feed, giving the fish what they want if the bites are regular.if your using larger baits particles and you have interest and missing the bites, which is a common thing on the tees, dont be afraid to drop of to light hooklinks and hooks and single baits.use as lighter tipp as you can get away with.if your fishing for chub a 5-6lb mainline with a 4lb hooklink is suffice.but as mentioned if need be go down to a 1.7 hooklink and small 16-18 hooks with single baits if the swim is open and snag free.wouldnt be advised on a really snaggy swim.
gd luck bud, hope you nobble a few.

River looks spot on according to the EA website, extra foot of water in. Hoping to get out for some chubbing this afternoon once I've scrapped the beard off my cheesepaste, ripened to perfection.

Bloody typical river is perfect today and i cant get out !!! anyone out today should have a good day after all the unsettled levels the last few days might have given the fish a chance to get there heads down, Tees is at 0.65 around Dinsdale which is perfect
