I'm getting a new pole at some point this year, either the elite carp or elite all round, a couple of new rods for the river and the rest will be going on terminal tackle and bait, not cheap this fishing carry on.

I'm after a rod pretty specific to my piking. I generally fish the margins, so a 3lb test curve rod design for smacking a bit bait out isn't necessary. Also I like roving so a 12ft model is awkward. I'm thinking of getting a tony Kay custom made rod using a Harrison blank, 11ft, 2.5lb test. Just need to save my coppers... www.tonykaycustomrods.co.uk/section643629.html

That's the one mate I had one I gave it to our dad when I got the 425 and he's still using it now and never broke or smashed a section on it yet! Far too light it's unreal mate and the sections are so thin it's quality! The strength behind it is out of this world! You'd look at it and think nope it won't be strong! It's just an amazing pole. Right I'll stop declaring my love for it now haha

Yank and wank!! Good poles but I heard the 4 section can be a bit naughty and are prone to smash? Don't pole fish so just going off what I've heard
