now ste, double check for the beck in thirsk it was all private last time there, used to be a free bitt behind the baths, isnt much gd in winter though very shallow and rocky as hell.used to be a free bitt just before the bridge behind town centre but that's private aswell now.but as im aware anywere along the field below the waterfall and upstream ov it are private now.i got moved from the pool below the falls and there was a guy above who I had words with and it was club water guests only.they wasn't nasty about it like quite pleasant just said I had to pack up and put me in direction of the free bitt behind baths but it was crappo.most ov the signs have gone so if you do fish it plead ignorant fella.

Rubbish its all free fishing within the town city limits this is true because the king said in 1326 that it would be and ever since then people have shrunk just to get over the ever gettin smaller bridge...and thats that !!

u wnt get prosecuted ste if you do just moved on mate, locals don't seem to mind just if you run into a member ov authority that you will be moved.still odd sign up back of thirsk with private fishing on.about two signs left.second pool below the weir were it does a sharp bend holds some lovely chub dropps to around 6ft in places.dont go wacking a bomb in though link ledger all the way mate or trot it.they luv liccy and flake on there or caster.last time I used maggot it was odd trout n grayling.ude get a few then ude have to move to the nxt pool spooky as hell.

if that dosnt work a very heavey bank stick usually disables them giving you enough time to run ::)odd swift boot to the head I find works exceptionally well.but its Christmas so the bank stick is sufficiant

or rigger boots and say your a maintainance guy for the drains and its not actually a fishing rod and that they are looking at it wrong its a drain rod.the maggot is swimming around looking for potential danger.
or use the old one your not fishing your teaching your maggots to swim.and you have a whole family of 3000 to get through one by one.
