Looking at fishing this place tomorrow for the first time in about 6 years. Thinking of fishing Lake 2.
Anybody on here fished it recently?
Cheers

I haven't fished it for a while mainly because of the current situation, preferring to keep out of the way and I've enjoyed the rivers over the summer so not really missed the stillwaters. All of the usual carp tactics and baits will work but it's going to be a cold night which may well affect it tomorrow. One other thing about the Carrs is I think 12 quid for a day ticket is a bit steep,I know it's not much compared to football etc. but compared to other places I fish i think it's too much and always has been. They'll be on winter opening times now too so don't get there too early. If you intend to fish it regularly keep an eye on their facebook page and have a look at the matches on youtube for a few pointers concerning bait and tactics.

Agree with Graeme re costs for Carrs, but didn't like to mention that. Not fished it for years and as john mentioned too over priced considering theres plenty of still waters just as good for less the price.

The bloke that runs it is an arsehole I used to fish it till the day he came down behind few of us and wasted a heron with a shotgun no more than twenty yards away without any warning il never set foot on his venue again don’t want to line the pockets of a total idiot

Usually only fish this place once the winter prices come in as it's £8. No way I'm paying £12 for a day session. I've been up there twice in the last 3 weeks, carp are still feeding had a couple of doubles out
