Went out 4pm full of enthusiasm , been scared off by field of cows with calves , walked length of ADTAC to find it chocalate Brown and going at about 50mph , finally found a safe spot with bit slack water , and it appears there a forest you can't see under water ,lost two rigs in 30 mins , now going home totally pissed off ,other than that great session

Just back from the atdac tees water. Aye it was pushing through compared to Tuesday night and brown in colour with a few big logs floating by. Fished close in along a slack line and managed one chub to 4lb 6oz and lost another to a snapped hook link. Agreed some of the banks can be dangerous, well worth a look around to familiarise yourself.

Was my first time down fishing I arrived late afternoon was no one there , so you must o left were u up near cottage by any chance that was only area that looked fishable but as I was tackling up water started coming over bank into peg so I scarpered

Was my first time down fishing I arrived late afternoon was no one there , so you must o left were u up near cottage by any chance that was only area that looked fishable but as I was tackling up water started coming over bank into peg so I scarpered Just as a heads up for future reference Andy, where you see the river narrowing but with high banks either side, it'll always rise fast there as theres nowhere for the water to spread out and theres always the danger of going in when the top section of the mud is wet as it all turns to slop Narrowish section, high banks, water will flow through at some pace and theres the likelihood that the river could spill its banks and come round the back of you

Andy, I didn't get there till 7pm. Forgot to check levels so didn't realise it would be up. Looks like that was the time of the high point so it was just starting to fall by 10pm. Having been there many times you get to know where the slacks and eddy's are.

One of the drawbacks of river fishing unfortunately,Andy. I'd checked the river app. before setting off so knew it was on its' way,nothing we can do other than give it a go or put the gear away and stop at home.
