A couple of months ago I decided not to post on forums anymore,at the time I didn't think I'd miss sharing catches and reading about other lads fishing exploits. I was wrong, without the forum I have no opportunity for any angling chat other than on the bank and that's not often. So as long as the other members are happy I'll join in again and hopefully provide some interesting posts. Still getting out every week and caught plenty of chub this winter but rather than visit the Swale exclusively I've been concentrating on the Tees and Wear and although I've caught more fish the quality hasn't been as good. Only had 1 5 pounder over the past couple of months but plenty of good 4's and still as motivated as ever . Best I've had from the Tees 4.14 a couple of weeks ago. Always worth it if only for the scenery.

Nice quality pics as always and a good write up
Seems like to me that you've had a good season so far, most anglers would kill for a five pound chub

Thanks lads. Had a good winter's chubbing, Bri. I know I can sit it out on the Swale hoping for a big chub and that's what I did last season and finished with 5 over 5 pounds and was well pleased. Although I still go to the Swale and had 1 5 pounder I've spent most of my trips on the Tees and Wear and caught more chub but not of the same quality. Lots of good 4's nudging specimen size but no 5's. I don't get fixated on necessarily catching big fish,I can come home satisfied with a couple of fish from a different venue presenting a fresh challenge. Got a few weeks left, still hopeful of a few more .

Always good to see you returning and your certainly more than welcome to leave and return as often as you like mate, forum has been quite for a while, lots of factors for this, rivers being out of sorts for long periods and the abundance of easily available fb fishing groups, but thankfully we still have a few members that are willing to take time out to post about their fishing adventures of which I personally am immensely grateful 👍👍😉
