Cleasby big lake is a carp syndicate, I think it's £250 a year so big hard to catch carp in a stunning location.
Brasside, seems a popular venue, rumours of fish loss. Have regular pike matches even this time of year which is enough to put me off.
What about QE2? £50 a year and decent carp fishing.
Also even cheaper for £30 a year you can join silksworth lakes, Massive head of carp and big ones with back up fish.

The best place, I've said before is facebook, join the groups and see the catch returns.

Seen a lot of talk about it but not seen any pictures on there FBook page I was a member of the QE2 for 2 years, There was 2 decent pike in there of around 25lb and 18lb. Both raggy well caught pike but would of been nice to catch them. I never wasted any time on the QE2 as such if I had a days fishing I would travel to somewhere I wanted to be. But if I had a few hours spare, inbetween school runs I would drop on the QE. I would reckon I fished it in total 10-12 short sessions and biggest fish was 9lb. The second year, I went last day in the September to do a recce, put some bait in ready to fish it in October. I seen one of the old guys camped out in his bivvy and a noddy with 3 pike rods out. After this I found out the old guy had caught the 25lb fish in August at 16lb. I threw my membership away and have never been back since. During my time on the water I messaged the club regarding a closed season, but nothing was done.

Thanks for the reply Jim , was looking at a day out there with a workmate but after reading that I think I'll pass. I thought it was strange when all I ever saw on their FB page was carp pics.

Give it a go, You can get a day ticket for a fiver. If you want to know the more productive swims send me a message.
It was more out of principle for me, the club should of had a closed season for the pike to protect them. After all they had 2 very good assets in at once they were both 20+.
