Does anyone know what the lake not far from Green Lane is called? Was fishing there the other week and got chatting to a bloke who told us about it but didn't give the name? Just wondering if anyone knows the name or the location?
Thanks

Could be tile house farm pond, not far from green lane, turn off at Arden arms pub for a mile or so, was dbtaa water, fished a few times and Nowt, not even a sign of fish, spoke to farmer last time and he told me he's never seen any one fish it for years!

He's telling porkies, probably because he's quite happy with the prospect of no one fishing it. I fished it quite regularly in 2016 and talked to the farmer a couple of times. I never saw another soul down there though, and there was little evidence that anyone was bothering. There were plenty of tiddlers in 2016, mostly gudgeon and tiny rudd with the occasional tiny skimmer. In the warmer months, you can catch as many of them as you can stomach. The only sign of anything bigger that I saw was a rather unhealthy looking carp that might have scraped 4lb, on a good day.

There's moulton lane and also cornhill on that road, anybody know of much else in that area drop me a pm There's a fair bit of water in the general area. However, not that much is legally fishable. Most of those that are have been mentioned already. Green Lane Pond, aka Scorton Pond. (Day ticket.) Dalton Gates, aka Moulton Lane. (Day ticket.) Cornhill, aka The Parrot Man's. (Day ticket.) Tile House Pond, aka Streatlam Pond. (DBT) Willowgarth (DBT), Halnaby (Yarm AA) and Ellerton Water Park (Day or season ticket) aren't a million miles away. Beyond that, you are talking nature reserves, still worked gravel pits, unfished or syndicate waters. I don't know of any other waters in the general area between the Swale/A1 and the Tees.
