fished all of york and bradford number one stretches bud.i quite like both club stretches.only ever targeted silvers mind on the pole in my match days. thing is i like is theres miles between locke gates and the boating traffic dosnt spoil the fishing as much as it does on ripon, they feed quite freely even on busy days.

pike/perch in abundance. probabely the most active species to be fair and mostly the target.pretty healthy aswell with the stocks of silvers, plenty to feed on.

I'd probably like to have a go with the lures see what I get pick up, also have a go with the feeder rod, never fished a canal and I'm sure a walk about with some lures and spinners would pick up a fair few fish

i used to associate canals with pole or light feeder.bought one of the old drennan im8 bomb rods with quarter ounce tipp when things got tough on other setups.when i started fishing kildwick things changed and had to beef up cos we was getting wiped out with mudpigs and some good bream.some cracking walks, quite friendly folk aswell.
