Just to start putting this debate to bed , atleast as a mixed fishery IV just been involved in a conversation Inc one of Northumbrian ballifs from last few years , and no way will Lockwood beck be getting an extensive Stocking of anything.
They are working on a shoe string and have no excess money , and as i believed all Lockwood is now is a small low cost income of money for them , so basically Lockwood will be a roach fishery with perhaps a sprinkling of summat else but certainly not in numbers that would even be noticeable , and that's from an insider .

Lockwood Beck Resevoir
Well I've been fishing this Resevoir since 2021, i was never into fly fishing and hadn't been a member of a club or fished a day ticket in over 15 years. I heard that lockwood had turned into a day ticket water with roach, perch, rudd, bream and tench, i think a few stocks had been added the ones from 2017 had 4 years to grow.
I fished the lake in aummer 2021, not expecting a great deal, well the feeder rod on the west bank wouldn't stop going , i ended up with 20lb of roach, rudd, and bream, biggest roach being well over 1lb and the skimmers coming on nicely, the rudd have come on successfully and breeding plentiful and the bream are now well over the 2lb, someone even said they caught a 4lb bream, the perch going upto 4lb.
In all, the fish have survived, they are breeding and going strong, dare say a few trout still in the water,
MIDDLESBROUGH ANGLING CLUB now have an agreement to fish this water so the extra food going into the lake and the extra members and extra attention to the lake will definitely help, if it keeps going and they keep the carp away from the place and leave it as it is as a pure course fishery it'll keep doing well

Very useful update. Thanks. Sounds like there's a good selection of coarse fish to go at, and nearer to Teesside than Scaling Dam, which I think is just roach and pike.

Fished Lockwood last year and enjoyed it catching perch, roach and rudd. Only fished a maggot feeder mind.
