Hi all , I going to make up some new traces for the coming pike season. What do you recommend for trace wire, trebles and crimps. Ive read reviews that specimen30+ stuff is good but not tried it

I would warn against the 30plus stuff personally. On two occasions I lost good fish where the hooks opened out very easily. They went in the bin.
I've bought some owner stinger hooks which seem superb, but not cheap.
Trace wire - drennan coated stuff, can't remember the name! In 30lb.
Fox crimps seem the best.

Agree with jim there, the middy wire is like cotton, hooks are crap
Crimps I'd go for fox, with 28lb drennan super trace, and owner ST41BC hooks (£7.50 for 8 hooks mind) and a decent swivel
