bought some of this elastic earlier on this year got a 11h and a 13h the 13 was brilliant coped with nice carp and skimmers the 11h was a little more stringy and didn't seem to go into the top kit nice was a bit snatchy on catching one nice size carp I decided to check what was wrong and the elastic had nearly cut in half it had pulled tight on the knot and took a chunk out I contacted preston and they said it wasn't right and advised me to take it back to the shop and get it replaced I did this but never put it back in as I didnt trust it out of ten I would rate 13h a 8 and the 11h a mere 3 as I personally thought it was pants

i used to use preston hollo then switched over to the maver dual core, 13H was spot on for carp but i found it a bit heavy for skimmers, the 9H was spot on for almost everything, roach, skimmeres and carp ut to 5lb ish, im now a big believer in the doubled up laggys, double 4 is spot on for f1s and small carp in the winter and also perfect for the resi where your catching skimmers with the odd bream, never used 11H mate so i cant comment on it really.

middy stuff is ok and wouldn't fancy 50lb braid on the pole think it would smash big time the older poles where better seemed to big stronger years ago

this time of year, the top elastics for me are white hydro, preston 9H, maver dual core 6-10 preston double 4,middy solid 4, there all i use from novemeber through till about march april then i switch to heavier laggys in a couple of kits once the carp start waking up a bit.
