I've just knocked up a batch of cheespaste for the winter chubbing. Absolutely stinks! Should work a treat... People do it differently, I tend to use dry stinky cheese, short crust pastry and garlic powder, with a knob of butter to soften it. Works a treat for me when balanced on the hook with bread crust! Ready for the freezer Be interested to know how others do it?

Yep,same for me Jim. I buy the cheap, frozen, shortcrust pastry and sometimes add a bit of food colouring. Don't know whether it makes any difference, try anything

more or less how I do it Graeme.i use cheese out of a tub or a little dairy lee with chives onion and garlic which you can buy now.that would propabely be doing the same job as your butter, works a treat and gives that xtra bitt ov zing, still smells rank like.also do a batch without.just blue stilly, cheapo packet pastry and garlic powder.
